When we first heard Ray Rinaldi at The Denver Post would be taking the time to review our current Resident Artist Exhibition, we felt the usual buzz of excitement and appreciation knowing our Resident Artists will have a spotlight on all their hard work.

But after reading the article, our gratitude grew tenfold.

Rinaldi recognized the brilliance of the show’s curator Rosie Gordon-Wallace in bringing seemingly disparate pieces together to form a surprising yet inevitable whole:

“The result is an exhibition — titled “Chromatic Cogitations: Rhythm Reboot” — that unfolds with a gentle and infectious cadence. There’s a pulse to it, a tempo, that guides viewers from one spot to the next.”

Rinaldi also highlighted the integral role that RedLine plays in elevating the careers of emerging Denver artists. Our Artist-in-Residency program is one of our flagship programs in achieving this goal:

“I consider the residents’ show to be one of the most important events on Colorado’s visual arts calendar. That’s because RedLine is known as a star factory…Anyone looking for the next resonant voices in Colorado art starts the search at RedLine.”

We’ve never thought of ourselves a “star factory” before, but there’s no doubt each and every artist at RedLine is a bright beacons of inspiration for our city and beyond.
