About the Hope Tank Community Fund

For 12 years, Hope Tank has provided a space for creatives, small businesses, and nonprofits to connect. The need for affordable private space for community to gather has far exceeded our ability to meet it. We are creating a mutual aid fund that will allow us to grant space requests as needed.

Hope Tank is a vital community space designed to provide accessible, affordable, and creative gathering opportunities for diverse groups within our community. As a “third place” - a concept often overlooked and underfunded, yet crucial for community strength - Hope Tank fills a critical gap between home and work environments.

Our inclusive space serves a wide range of community members, with a particular focus on BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ individuals, elders, and other underserved populations.

The folks who use our space offer a variety of programs and resources to support personal growth, community connections, and professional development:

  • Educational classes to foster lifelong learning.

  • Mental health support groups to promote well-being.

  • Maternal health classes to support new and expecting parents.

  • Small business support and development services to encourage local entrepreneurship.

  • Creative space for artists and makers to express themselves and collaborate.

  • Meeting areas for nonprofits and businesses to hold staff retreats and foster inter-organizational creativity.

By providing these diverse offerings in an welcoming environment, Hope Tank strengthens community bonds, promotes inclusivity, and supports individual growth. Our space recognizes the importance of having a neutral ground where people from all walks of life can come together, share experiences, and build connections.

Some examples of folks who we have been able to provide free and low cost space to is BIPOC Psychedelic, Colorado Artists in Recovery, Theory and Practice's Bell Hooks Book Club, and the Colorado Perinatal Mental Health Project.

As a third place, Hope Tank addresses the often-overlooked need for community spaces that exist outside of home and work. These spaces are essential for fostering social connections, promoting civic engagement, and building a sense of belonging among community members.

By investing in Hope Tank, we're investing in the overall health and resilience of our community.

For every $50 donated, one hour of space will be available to grant out. A donation of $150 meets the most requested need for a 3 hour booking for a class or small event. $500 allows for a creative to have coworking hours or for a nonprofit to have an all-day retreat. $1800 could meet a year of monthly meetings for a community group.
